Anybody know the quickest and cheapest method of lowering the seat height on a bay kombi.

Let air out of the front tyres.

There aren't too many other options, as the Kombi seats are quite thin to start with; I haven't seen any similar but thinner-base seats around. You must be pretty tall if you're having head-room problems.

Another smart arse comment - but he has almost a thousand posts so that doesn't matter.

Try Torago seats, or Hiace seats, or the whole stack of commercial vans you'll find with much lower seat bases. Any wrecker will have them.
For a forward control vehicle the kombis have very very thick seat bases.

yeah well these are my buckets, they are totally slide adjustable and reclinable, they are really comfy and hug your booty, they sit very low compared to a standard kombi seat.hope that helps ya

yeah mine are mx5 seats from a late model, i got em fairly cheap from a jap wrecker for $180, and then $20 for the 8mm brackets n bolts, not the easyiest job really, was a little trickey but well worth it, by the way i am not using the original rails or brackets, i took em all off the bus.
cheers
