i just watched an english show top gear, never seen it before 3 blokes buy 3 cars & see how they go im guessing thats how the format is going by tonights show
in the porsches bought for 750 pound, 900 pound & 1500 pound.
it was a crack up:P
its not the format mate, they do something different each week, i`ve been downloading the show for about 2 years now and its really innovative, and they dont take payments to promote cars, keep an eye out soon for a story they do on a car called an "aerial atom" its bloody awsome, also the ones on sbs are about 2 years old, you can see new episodes on bbc world.
🙂
i'd watch it but i think jeremy clarkson is a massive twat

There has to be something good in a car show that has my wife wanting to watch next weeks show!!!!
The new GTi was on tonight, so it can't be two years old!!!!

I don't mind the show either - Jeremy is a bit of a tosser, but it certainly does help they can be relatively objective about the merits/problems of each car they review. Of course they seem to have a soft spot for british cars though (most times).
Last week was funny when they had a people mover race (like toyota toragos etc) - lots of carnage!
I thought the high point was getting the blind guy to do a hot lap...and he beat 2 of the celebs they'd had driving! :P
BTW, who is the Stig? Is it Stig Blomqvist, the famous race/rally driver?
some people are like slinky's
they have no useful purpose
but they are fun to watch
when you push them down the stairs

I just couldn't stop laughing about the porsches.
Yeah I think this is a great show, they have been running it in New Zealand for the past couple of years. When you get used to Jeremy you'll find that you will probably warm to him. Most of the shows great ideas come from him and you'll see all kinds of great stuff coming up. When they have celebrities on, they dont really give a rats arse about their latest movies or books, they generally stick to what kind of cars they have owned or still own. I like the un-bias honesty and my wife even loves the show too!
One thing they do that will come up eventually is they try and kill a Toyota Hilux PIckup. The kind of advertising that Toyota couldnt pay for.

I love Top Gear... and Jeremy Clarkson is awesome... 5th Gear with Tiff Needel is great too.
The reviews these guys do of cars are so highly respected in the motoring world, that companies have been known to pull a model and totally redesign it because if these guys say its crap... nobody buys it.
After watching Jeremy Clarksons witty reviews of cars i just cant handle the pain of watching an aussie review taking it so seriously.
My favourite Jeremy Clarkson quote ever was "the Hyundai must die because it is made in Korea... a country, where they eat dogs... a country where a dog isn't just for xmas... there should be some left over for boxing day aswell" 😀
"Mr Writer, why don't you tell it like it is? Why don't you tell it like it REALLY is?" - stereophonics
fekkinell you have just given me a new found respect for Jeremy.
That is one ripper of a comment.

That bloody vintage people-carrier race was fekkin hilarious too!
"Here we have the Mitsubishi Nimbus.. the lowest car on the track here today... and here, the Toyota Space-Wagon... once described as 'VERY unstable'..." 😎🤓
I really would like to have seen a T3 kombi in there too tho! LOL 😁🤪
