Hello All.

I've been reading the forum for a while but tjhis is my first post.

I have a 74 Bay Kombi which is my daily transport. Just had her straightened and sprayed so she's lovely again. I am slowly getting more adventurous in my tinkering as well which has led me to this post.

Can anybody recommend a source for Kombi parts in Melbourne? I need a muffler right now but I'm sure that I'll need other bits and pieces from time to time.

Thanks

I am in Ringwood. The ones you have suggested (Camper Kid) are a good start. I will be making some calls today. Thank you.

if in ringwood VW performance is probably the closest (hewish road Croydon) and keeps a pretty good supply of parts at fair prices and can get stuff in from all over pretty quick.

I think you will find them in Lusher Road Croydon.

I also find that the self-serve wreckers usually have a bunch of bays rotting away. I found an early bay front beam, for instance, and some of them are there 'cause they've been whacked in the front, so the entire complete motors are 'good', or at least, present.

It pays to check fairly often, as parts seem to go fairly quickly when a decent one comes in.

There's a pick a part in Croydon or somewhere out there along canterbury road isn't there. Near the hill before montrose...?

i think you will find the wreckers on canterbury is in kilsyth, same turnoff as the boral quarry, also a similar wreckers in ringwood, off maroondah hwy just on the city side of eastland, heatherdale rd maybe? they have a couple of very rotten bay campers, equally rotten beetles and soem rather clean type3s
