Hehe...I found me a slightly dinged greeny olivy yellow colored bay engine lid at the Huskisson tip yesterday... not that I needed one... but who cares... its a kombi bit all the same! 😂

Anywho, I realised the imprint from the numberplate is still on it... appears it was once on a kombi with the rego XUN-??8...anyone recognise it as once being theres??

I know me asking this serves no useful purpose at all... just thought it would be kinda cooland interesting to find out where the lid originally came from, just for curiosities sake! 👍

Oh... if anyones interested BTW, there is what appears to be a Kombi engine mounting rail out there too at the moment, nothing wrong with it aside from being painted green with kids poster paint :duh... there was also a munted bug bonnet in the scrapheap... loooks like a local dubber has been having a cleanout of sorts 😀

funny, i encounted the exact same thing a few years ago,
i was at the Lismore tip and in amoungst a pile VK commodore doors and gaurds was a 4 vent beetle decklid
it was bare with no hardware at all and some horrible pinstriping
but it has no dings and only a tiny bit of surface rust
it had a fresh dust imprint of the numberplate but its since faded cant remember what it was
its now sitting on my rotorbug waiting for some attention like the rest of the car
my camera isnt the best at night so sorry bout the quality
that quality rebadge was one of my dickhead mates full of piss lol

hehe...there was a burnt type 1 engine in the scrap pile at Husky about a year ago too 😂

At one stage there was also a whole Studebaker Lark IV... went to get a trailer but it got crushed before we got back :vader

apperently somebody dumped a whole kombi at the nowra tip once too... wasnt there by the time i got to look..

I have also been told a kombi got dumped at the old abandoned tomerong quarry..known locally as" the Hellhole"....where all the wierdo's go rallying and then dump and in alot of cases burn out old cars. I was told it got burnt in the 2001 bushfires tho, and i havent seen aanything that resembles it in my time down there... 🙁
