So what did you all get??

Any bargains??

I scored a 1303 L badge. Alway wanted one but always forget to look. This one was staring at me.

Unfortunately, they are an "L" shorter than the Volkswagen L badges.

So at the moment i have a 1303 LL :jesus

Will have to get the holes welded up on my spare lid and sprayed :P

I bought a 1600 twin port, was the one that was sitting on the ground with extractors and had advertised only 75000 original k's on it. The guy said it was out of a '75 model rack & pinion superbug. It looked like he hadnt cleaned it and I couldnt see oil leaking anywhere. Only had a little buildup of road grime. Picked it up for $450.

It will be replacing my worn out 1200 with bottom end noise and oil leaks everywhere.

pod i`ve got to finish this thing one day

Good one with the engine...
VW used 1303LS Badges in Europe & possibly the US...
but I've never seen one....
I was looking for a chromed air cleaner with the louvers around the sides and picked up a new one for $20...
I also bought a couple of good hub caps to go on My chromed wide wheels... I now have about 8 hub caps...
I also picked up two cv joint boots [yellow] for $10-00
as I found two of mine have cracked....
also not forgetting the 2006 nationals polo shirt....
this year I bought two.... and a tee shirt for My grandson from Jay... well My wife bought that one....
another good day.....

I took a few pics...

One year I would like to take a pic of every car!!!!
then reminise when I get home.....
as I always miss some cars...
Someone will publish some pics on here and I'll say
"I didn't see that one"....
I didn't get a chance to have a look in the car park this year... except when My Wife was driving Me home....
but the camera was in the boot....!!
Oh well.... there's always Valla/Nambucca in August....

Hey Barry

Just get a O badge and put it in between the 2 Ls.

I bought a pair of complete 1500 brake stubs from Dave Becker and sold some bits from a chop top I wrecked.

I must be getting old, I didn't even see the NULON
girls..... anyway I was only in VW mode....
looking at parts - new & old....
and the cars.......
I could/would have stayed longer but My Wife wanted to start the driving back 300kms.....

Here's a good one....
We [My Son & I] never know where to go to get to the Nationals... so We keep driving from Windsor/Putty road until We see a VW of some sort , and We would follow them... and they would usually take us to the Nationals..
Well, this time We came up behind a Bay Window Kombi with 3 people aboard, and We thought they Must be going to the Nationals, [doesn't everyone with a VW]
Well , this Kombi led us to the Nationals, but didn't turn in.. it kept going... past all the VW Show signs...
Oh Well.. they did serve a purpose.....
and We also saw a number of Beetles on the way home.
who probably didn't know the Nationals were on..???

you harsh harsh people. They were in no way unattractive. Wearing more clothes than the ones at summernats and not as busty as a playboy bunnie, but they were good looking enough. They had heads turning there way, not away.
