Hey all

This is what I'm hunting for in the best possible condition:

- oval rear glass - SEKURIT would be fantastic. got it

- the chrome trim that goes around the rubbers - front and rear

- door light switches X 2 got em

- oval wiper switch - pull=on got it

- the metal conduit to hold speedo wire under the bonnetgot it

- all the exterior aluminium trim dont need it anymore

- and a long shot: the metal conduits from the headlight buckets to the body... BOTH of them got em

- oval period WORKING radio

- harley blinkers (2) -they don't need to be perfect, not too much rust though,

- mushroom tailpipe cover

Any help would be a great help

Cheers
Chris

I can help you with some of this stuff. You missed out on the metal headlight buckets conduits by about four days. They are probably really flat now after going to sims.

I have wiper switch pull on $30
The metal tube that the speedo goes into $30
Door sitches x2 $10

Postage would not be that much if I could fit the metal tube in a postage tube. Doubt it though.

I can get some pics for you on the weekend if you like

Hey Chris, I can help with the door switches. You can buy the headlight tubes (repro) from a guy in the states. Search the Samba

No and yes. They were absolutely crap. They were seriously rolled in on themselves and full of rust and banged up big time. Trust me when i say they are better off out of their misery. If they were any good you'd be hard pressed to get em off me thats for sure. And i do mean even remotely good.

The exterior aluminium trim is available NEW from Vintage in Sydney Also the rear window trim in Alloy You would be better off getting all the window trim so new so it looks the same if you wnat origionality

give tham a call 02-9789-1777

the tube in the bonnet holds the speedo cable not the wiring

do you want switches with the old type screw terminals ???
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

Peter Stevens (Dandy or City) about $15ea for the cheapies or $50ish for smaller better quality ones. Other bike shops may have similar but ive used the cheaper ones a few times and work well...

Sweet. How do the cheaper ones hold up to tarnishing and rust? Are they like Brazilian pee shooters in that they rust after a couple months in the rain?

Where's Pete's shop located in the city?

Try Harley Heaven in Sydney Road Chris.

The chrome is OK. As long as you keep the polish on them. Bees Wax will seal then from moisture too.

Elizabeth St near Lonsdale. The chrome holds up pretty good man. Good 3 years in use and still hasn't fallen off. All the shops keep em so where ever is easiest for you!
