Hi all, new to VeeDubbers.
I'm going to sell my daily driver because it's just too thirsty:

I've always wanted a Kombi, and would really appreciate anyone pointing me in the direction of a fairly complete (i.e. no major repairs/faults) Kombi for around $3000-$6000.

I'm in Melbourne at the moment and will put my car up for sale in about two weeks, and will start looking then.

All help much appreciated.
//Marty

hmm... tempting.. although i'm not sure how much time I'll have to work on it until a little later, so I think I'd prefer a pretty complete one

hmm.. I have to wait till my exams are done before I can sell my current car 🙁
i'll talk to my dad about it, and if you've still got it in two weeks time I might come up.

thanks heaps for the offer, but don't hang out for me because I still have to wait a few weeks before I can start inspecting any. sorry about all this

After 18 months of driving round Oz our beloved van is for sale.
We bought her in Ballarat and are now in Brisbane. She will be for sale on the 20th of July 2006 as that is when the lease on our flat ends. We have stopped to make some money to carry on our trip but my drivers licence runs out in June and I have to return home to get it renewed. She is in the process of being painted with two pot paint. She has had the roof and pop top painted white with two pot with the body to follow in the origonal yellow . Enough, here are her details.
1975 poptop. Fully reconditioned 2l motor fitted in December of 2004. Has done 30,000ks since fitting. (just run in realy) This includes new heads. The work was done by Conti Engines on Bribie Island, Brisbane. This mototr was done from the ground up. The list of receipts and service details come to about and this is not including the paint job. The van is 99% free of rust which will be removed during painting. All are available. She will come with a new registration in June and will be valid for 6 months. Gold RACQ cover will be valid till October. The running gear is also in top condition.
She comes with

One new 12v auxillary dual power set up (2 new deep cycle batterys run off a smart realy, you will never run it flat). Telstra phone and sim card. one cd player with4 speakers, one new UHF cb radio. 4m two tonne tow rope and 3.2 tonne shakles. All bedding and cutlery etc. All you will need to be on the road, Chilly bin, jack, extra driving light on bull bar.new steel belted spare tyre. 4 new steel belted tyres, tools, maps, repair book. Just had the ball joint replaced and one tie end end rod replaced by Roger at South Side VW. Also all rust removed for Cert of fitness. A plate has been put under the passengers foot area. She now has new Queensland reg.. What needs doing is the muffler could do with being replaced.
