I like my Veedubs, they're simple really and that's the way it should be. BUT we own a Mitsubishi Delica and I've just spent practically the whole day replacing 2 F*#@ing CV boots!!! A workshop manual is as rare as hens teeth but how difficult should it be? The hub alone feels like it weighs the same as a VW engine, in future I'm restricting myself to my Dubs:thumb

What the hell is a turner boot gun? It's bad enough going into the Delica website and the instructions are " seperate top and bottom balljoint the the drive shaft assembly just slides out" and the ball joint seperator just does nothing, it just tightens and tightens until you're certain that there's going to be schrapnel everywhere and two hours later you're still no further ahead so give us a clue what is a turner boot gun?

ok this is one version of a cv boot gun

they allow you to put the boot on the shaft without having to pull the shaft apart ie over the cv joint. there is another version thats just a cone that the boot is applied to then rolled off on to the joint. i hope this explains it. you would still have to disassemble everything to get to the shaft but it makes it easier
