For the second Valla in a row some bugger had nicked the dust covers off the valves for my wheels !!! Grrrrrrrrr
What a pain in the rear end !!!!!! I'm glad that they were just the crappy black ones and the nice shiny chrome ones are sitting in the garage !!!! hehehehehehehe
Did anyone else experience the dust cover bandit ?
🤘
Hmmm.... dunno
I bought some smoked tail lights at the dinner/auction.
Put them in the car - yeah i had the windows down to dry some of the water out.
Nothing else dissapeared (VWMA mag, CDs, Berg T shirts)
Was quietly thinking it was the 2 light beers i consumed on Sat night that effected my thinking on Sunday but wasnt until i was ready to leave that i noticed they werent in my car anymore.
Hope i am wrong - but..................🥲
Futue te ipsum!!!
worst part is its probably some bastard you know
some poor bloke from Sydney got his rear air vents nicked off his super bug
😂🤪😂🤪😂
car forums. where a lot of peoples good intentions end up taking a good old car off the road forever never ever to see the road again. 🥲
Why would a VW owner do that to another VW owner??
Shame on anyone who stole something at Valla.

may have to get the locks on the bus sorted... crazy..
:cry this thread bites!
i was pretty sure i had locked and closed my quaters on Saturday night, only to find one open and the door, although locked still, was pulled to the second notch on the striker plate.........hmmmm didn't think much of it at the time, better check and see if anything is gooone also.
i f.....n hate thieves
fk, ditto on the locks...left the whole thing open all weekend...thanks for the warning...jeez there are some vankerz out there. Its not like most dubbers are flushed with money ... arseholes.
Loves a lolcat
yeah Mitch
I probabaly left them on the top of the car while i drove off.
I reckon Rich hid them - thought i was going "ricer" :P
Futue te ipsum!!!
I heard John Waldron had his polished oil filler cap lifted off his Light blue KG.
Its a shame when someone does this
SORRY BOUT THAT!
That really sucks and it makes it worse when you know that the person who did could well be the person that you had a beer with a few hours earlier!
I always worry about leaving my bug at shows and things (especially anxious at the street parade with all those ppl around). As it is shiny and blemish free (and watercooled) I worry that it will be a prime target for being "keyed" or something similar!
🤘
I have no bling, no shiny job, no polished caps to worry about!
Oh except for my custom (As Ashleigh calls them) Spider eye tail lights!

I remember walking past and going "hang on, something's missing". I couldn't find him to let him know. Whoever did it had to walk straight up to it and pull it off in full view. I hope they find their body in not just one but several bins, each six blocks apart...

10 mins later on our way home, walla: the boys produced a couple of badges
not rare... but I went wild.
Let's hope the kid visitor's ears are burnin HOT and they weren't dubbers.
I did it too as a kid ..see bling and think : only a dust cap.

Sorry to hear the bad news - there is little in life I hate more than thieves.
If the culprits are reading this (which one hopes they are not associated with AVD).....hang your head/s in shame and remember karma will come back around some day.
Geez.....I remember the same being posted after the last Valla...Don't trust anyone. Yes Dasdubber,Karma will come back around, you just have to hope it rips their bloody arms off. Low lifes.👎

Don't even get me started on ppl who steal badges off cars. A couple of days before we went to Valla our friend Kate was at our place (she was driving the green NB at Valla) and someone nicked the rear badge from her bug. And the broke it making it a right royal pain to fix it. And as those badges cost $200 very expensive !

Even an obsessed chump like me never had the idea to nick off in a dub... although it did hurt to be the one left out

My son Dean is now without a VW club jacket after I hung it out to dry and it went missing . I assume that the same aresoles who stole other items are the culprits for this dissappearance .
If you see anyone with a SHOALHAVEN VW CLUB jacket and you suspect that they are not in the shoalhaven area , please let me know.........( size L) black jacket with white logo over left breast .
WOULD REALLY LOVE TO CATCH A THEIF !!......then cut his hands off .

Yep I was pretty dissappointed I didn't get to join the parade due to the rain however that didn't hurt near as much as realising someone would go to a VW event and steal stuff.
Thankfully someone tracked me down to ask why the oil cap was missing (thanks Larry). If they hadn't I would have just driven off none the wiser - what a mess that would have caused!!
In the 14 years of showing the car this is the first time this sort of thing has happened!
