I've had shitloads of people coming to my door asking if I had parts. I've had a plenty of people knock on my door asking to buy/hire my car trailer which I used to keep out front. I hired it out for a case of beer to a guy that I had previously sold parts to... and he came back with a case of twist tops!!! cheap bastard. Nobody wanted to pay $1200 for the trailer, even after I told them it would cost at least double that to buy it new.

Also had a couple of people knock on my door asking if they could buy the kombi. (WHY!!) But when I did try to sell it, I only got one door knocker.

Don't ask me why, but over here gull, 'twist tops' or 'twisties' are the little 250mL glass bottles with the twist top lids. Also known as 'throw-downs'!

'Stubbies' are the 375 mL bottles... they have twist-top lids too.

250mL is cheaper than 375mL - of course - and is a bit cheapo for the use of a trailer for the day!

half an hour after we got my green baby ( her name is toula )on the road a farmer followed my husband in it until he pulled up at the shops , the farmers daughter pointed it out and said i want that car as she just got her licence
we kept saying not for sale:blah and the car wasn,t quite finished and he kept upping the price they walked away quite disspaointed and said they would approach me when they saw me alone in it as i think they were sure they could buy it for the right price , ha ha there was no right price !!! SHES MINE ALL MINE MWAH HA HA

yep thats it. Theres ~$10 and 3 litres difference. He could have bought a case of crownies and still have had a cheap hire. He was gone for ages. Jay was here at the time and we both thought it was never coming back.

I just assumed anyone who actually wanted her was two cents short of the dollar and unlikely to be for real anyway...🤪
