Tonight I finished putting all the lines on (ran out of clamps that would fit the slightly thicker line). When I poured petrol into the tank, I jumped underneath to check out the in-line filter installed before the car was painted about 4 months ago. The fuel filter has been placed directly underneath the fuel tank and so usually fills up via gravity feed. This time the fuel filter is empty, so I put some more fuel into the tank. Still empty.
Looks like the tank might have some crud in it, blocking the line coming from the tank. I took the end off of the fuel pump and sucked (drinking some residual fuel in the process) and blew and seems that whatever is blocking the line is stuck hard.
Is it safe to put an air compressor on this end and pressurize the line hopefulling unsticking whatever gunk is in there?
Cheers
