Beaches closed to Buggy\'s and Baja\"s?????

Hi people's I heard a rumour that the QLD Gov is going to start closing beaches and 4wd areas to any cars that are not 4Wd and police areas that are already closed the 2wd cars. Does anyone know if this is just bulls@%t or is it true. If it is true we need to get something going to makes sure that Buggys and Baja's are allowed to go into these areas. Keep watching this space as today the Noosa council was gobbled up into a "super council" with Caloundra and Maroochy so things will be a-changing pretty soon. Maybe a bridge across the Noosa river and high rises soon so who knows?
