Big congrats to Damo who finished his apprenticeship today - don't know if he'll be on the forum tonight - may be getting plastered!
Well done mate, all the best for the future as a fully qualified aviation mechanic (not sure of the correct term mate - you'll be able to correct me).

Thanks Das and everyone, so glad i'm finished, I did 9 months of study at Aviation Australia and did just under 2 1/2 years as an apprentice, now i got two trades up my sleeve as i am also a qualified chef, i don't think i'll ever be out of a job. I was talkin to the accountant today, i will be a lot better off now, looks like the 66 bug will be finished sooner rather than later. Thanks once again, cheers Damo.
This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.

Well done, congratulations.
How long does it take to become a qualified chef these days?
I believe it still 4 years for a chef, but unless you can deal with high stress and no social life look at doin something else. It was a good job but after 12 years i had enough of cooking.

if you go back to chef-ing you could make up one hell of a potato slicer with your avionics skills!
