Today was a top day... early on. I had a well organised hillclimb, started on time, everyone behaving themselves track was warm records would be set.... and then the wind came. Blew heaps of crap onto the track, killed any chance of records. But then the wind REALLy came. Knocked one tree down, which we cleared and kept going... nervously. But then the wind REALLY REALLY came and brought down another tree so had to call it off.

Finished packing up and settled into a beer and a massive wind gust hit. It lifted up my Falcons bootlid broke the struts and slammed it through the rear screen. Glass blew everywhere, it went all through the back seat obviously, but also through to the dash, over the roof across the bonnet into the back of my head and down my shirt. 1 yr old car that I probably still owe 14 grand on is absolutely stuffed.

And if that isnt enough I came home hoping to see tiles coming off my damaged house roof (hoping for insurance claim) and they are all stuck in place without even looking like coming off.

Yeah great day.

Just saw the fires around Sydney on the news too, gale-force winds definitely not helping there.

We had very windy days here in Melb too, only it's freezing.... except a few days ago it was beautiful and 30 degrees! :P

Yeah, what PBB said.

Spare a thought for the families of the 2 deceased, and the numerous other who lost their homes.
