OK,

I have the front windscreen and both rear quater windows in, with much appreciated help from my dad. The next question though is how to tackle the rear window. All other glass is flatso was fairly easy to install, well not that easy.

So I thought that I would ask the question if anyone has any good tips to install it that will make life a little easier and reduce the possibility of me cracking the glass.

Cheers,

Matt.

wipe the inner metal frame with a silicone spray to ease the rubber over the edge.

I found the rear screen to be the easiest. Just have a beer before you start and don't forget to have one after when u celebrate the great job you did.

Thanks everyone.

Hellbus thanks for the topic, but I have already used your method and it works a treat. I fitted up all the rubbers and the flash trim and then some cord. I used a different type of cord to you though. I then used a big bottle of soapy water and sprayed everywhere. Worked quite well I think.

Only major drama was the passenger quater when the cord can out and it wasn't seated on the lip, so I had to ease it on with a blunt screw driver.

OK, well if everyone found it easier than the others, I will use the same proceedure as with the others.

Cheers,

Matt.

Hi,
I found the rear window to be the hardest....
really hard...
and without My Son's help [He has fitted many rear windows] I wouldn't have succeeded...
it was truely difficult....

Yes, soapy water is the best...
I wouldn't use silicon or armorall sprays...
as i heard of a fellow using armorall on the rubbers, and when he shut a door [windows up]
one of the side windows popped out and smashed on the ground...
Armorall and silicone etc, don't dry fast enough...

Hi All,

Well I got the rear all fitted up and we (my olds and me) found it to be the easiest out of all the windows, but that may be because it was the last :P.

Slowly getting there....
