I knoiw there are obvious differences in length of different beetle bonnets but I'm wondering about the difference in scuttles and the top of bonnets. I guess the question is whether, in theory, a 6v bonnet will match up to the scuttle of a 12v standard bug?

Yeah I know the 12v bonnets have that difference, I'm just trying to figure out whether a 60s bonnet will match up to the scuttle of a 12v bug. Obviously the valance has some clear differences.

Thanks for the help guys.

the top part of the bonnet is the same, the scuttle panels match
u'll just need to fit a 6volt style apron and possibly spare wheel well to

theyre are heaps of late vws on the show scene in the US that have early model bonnets fitted so it is possible

and in the late 80s here it seemed to be trendy to fit 6 volt beetles with late model decklids, bonnets and gaurds
usually to make a carrera kit fit:puke

all my old 80s vw power mags are full of them like that LOL
