Has anyone replaced their rear wheel bearings on a kombi without a pres? Can it be done bush mechanic style with a drift?
Got the wrong sort of movement in rear wheels🙁

YEP, assuming its a 74 the first thing is getting the 46mm nut undone after that its plain sailing

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

If it is like a 71 there is a big circlip on the inner.

I just replaced mine a couple of weeks ago. Used varioys size exhaust pipe as a drift to spread the force out when knocking the bearings in.

I've got some 2nd hand custom 2+2 arms for the buggy with kombi stubs, bearings etc., and am looking to repack them, but the stubs don't seem to want to come out very easily - are the stubs held in place by circlips or anything like that ?

According to the manual they can be tight and you need to press them out. Or maybe tap them out (gently)
