Some advice please guys. I'm after an A1 splitty customised to my own requirements. I'd like my company name & logo on the paint job and an interior I can camp in and also take out to deliver stuff. I'm looking for a cheap reliable engine hence am considering a type4 on LPG. I think the ideal would be a top unfinished project, which I can then take on and finish in my own way. Another option is to buy ready-made and adjust, but I'd prefer not to. I'd love an early barndoor! I know nothing about the Sydney/NSW scene; I’m in the UK and am moving to Manly next year (yippee!). So please can you help me answer the following:
Do you know of any top unfinished projects I could have a look at online?
What sort of price would I be looking for it?
What sort of price would the finished project cost approximately?
Does anyone know any websites of good places to look for a van?
Any websites on reputable restorers? Likewise for engine guys for the Type4 unit?
Plus, anyone spotted any top finished vans (especially barndoors) over there so I can get a price guide? Or maybe I’ll have to look stateside?
Anyone know a top spray shop that can do logos and signage?
