After constant raving about my lancer, it developed a missfire last week. I knew I shouldnt have neglected her for so long. 10 years and 194,000kms on it now. Started running on 3 cylinders. It was then that I realised that oil & filter probably last changed at around 120,000, air filter probably same age, it was still on the same spark plugs I put in it at 60,000kms.... And of course it still had its original mistubishi fuel filter in it. $100 worth of supplies and its purring again. Even has a couple more kW!

Still dirty that the mechanic changed all 4 plugs when it was only 1 of them that had stopped firing :P

u should see the speshul modifications I dun to tha holden barina moite to make the battery from my bug fit! fully sik. Due to being so used to dubs I completely forgot to check the H20 compartment...smokin! Literally! I found a new way to degrease the engine in peak hour traffic...BUT it didn't die, still chuggin along, runs on petrol fumes and nothing major has fallen off yet..dunno wat milage its dun but it's lots. It's my support car for the dubs......as I said I have done a lotta miles in my boiled egg 😏

I know what you mean, when my dubs out of action I have to slum around in a '97 kia mentor. I even had to take it to Valla due to a last minute gearbox problem in the dub.
Poor old kia gets treated like crap, most repairs it gets are bodgy to say the least. I can't wait to get the dub reliable enough to get rid of the kia, then the dub will be the back up car while I sort another dub out!
