Well Christmas has been good until now. The other night after getting back about 1am my dad started the 64 Baja up to put in the shed. She made 10 foot and she stopped. After a couple of hours messing around we realised we had broken the camshaft. The engine had no compression and turned over like a 6 volt starter motor in a 24v system! Well unless we find a good motor, it will be sourced out of my little green flash beetle. Does anyone have a decent healthy 1500cc-1600cc Engine for my little bug or the Baja?
In addition, has anyone broken a camshaft? We could strip the engine but that’s big $$$$ and the engine might bugger up soon so……
