Well Ren's leaving tomorrow and I'm leaving in a week and we're hoping to break throught the language barrier and uncover some crazy japanese rides for you guys (alright for us as well). Anyone know of any dates or venues for shows? I've seen the recent UK, US mag articles but thought that they were stupidly thin considering the size of the scene over there.

Anyway anyone got anything?

Try and get to Daikoku Futo car park for the show.... its the one on all the 'Import' dvd's..... you wont find many dubs there but I reckon it would be worth a look anyways (but I sorta have a soft spot for imports)

You gunna chase some white? Stomp it down a run? I hear the snow isn't too bad this time of year. May be going late February early March. Keep us updated on the snow report...

though small, Japan is a big place. don't be fooled by distances, like in Aus 100km say 1 hour travel. much of countryside is 40kmh because buildings built to roadside, feels like driving a go kart! where you going, for how long, do you speak language. want advice about what to see, try to eat or just vw stuff?

Vw only thanks. We're going to Osaka (well we're based there for now) and have got some drifting contacts and wreckers for Jap cars (Ren's been working hard) but can't find anything on the dub scene over there other than the obvious flat four stuff and what's on hoodride. I've heard that there's a strong following... maybe we'll have to be the trail-blazers :p
