Hi,
just a general question, does any one here from vic have club rego? we are considering joining the vic vw club and putting the bug on club plates, the question is how restrictive are they?. The Vic roads web site states you can drive on club functions and 'if authorisation for special private use has been granted' wtf does that mean?. I remember some talk of bringing in a log book type of sytem, anyone had some experience.
cheers.
chris
Hi Chris, as far as I know it only covers vehicle use in club organised events. Monthly meetings, club runs , shows, race days etc.
I will try and get a more detailed answer for you.
There is talk of as new limted days use car rego (max 90 days I think) log book system. but its still just talk at this time.
Thanks for that grey 57, much appreciated
i am of the same understanding as Dean ^^^^^^^
club rego allows you to drive the car on "club sanctioned" events which are generally listed in the club magazine. If its there you can drive the car to and from it.
if it aint listed you are not supposed to drive the car. I also think you have to have a roadworthy done every 2 years to get "CH" plates.
i have also heard about this 90 day log book thingy... but have not heard it being introduced as yet.
see.... air and water do mix 😉
