I remember when I went for my L's, there was a girl standing in line before me who I started speaking with while waiting...
She was on her 9th try....she had her form (yes it was forms to fill out before computers came) in her hand, while I was speaking with her I noticed she had answered her questions differently to me...I started to worry.
Slowly the line came to the front counter.....she went first....you can guess ....she failed AGAIN....&
I got my L's....
Boy was she in a bad mood when she walked out of there....

Hey I didn't get my Ls the first time. I thought i knew everything like most 16yr olds and didn;t really read the book much....then failed. Got them second time and my licence first time.
Anyway, best of luck. I will have my fingers crossed for you. I know you have failed 10 times now but hang in there!😵

If you can drive a rear-engined Vdub. You can pretty much drive anything after that in terms of skill.

WELL DONE GURL!!!!!!! I'm very pleased for you.
Don't worry about failing your test. Back in the 1960s when I did mine they had an unofficial policy of failing nearly everyone on the first try, so that we wouldn't get smug about it. I got through on my second go.
I have a suggestion for you. If you want to learn good clutch skills and how to reverse park, go to a big empty parking area like one at a nearby high school, which has parking bays marked in it. Make sure it's all on level ground.
Spend a few hours driving up and down, and back and forth, and in and out of parking bays and never once use the accellerator. Do it all on an idling engine. Learn to take off on an idling engine and to do all of your manouvres using an idling engine only. Maybe adjust the idle a bit faster that usual, but only a little bit faster.
That will give you very good clutch control. It will teach you how to do reverse parking without the hassle of using the accellerator as well. You will do everything nice and slowly and gently without any hurry and you will become very skillful in a very short time.
When you have got that down pat, then learn to change into second gear and back into first gear on an idling engine.
Just spend your time puttering around until you don't need to concentrate on how to use the clutch. If you can use a clutch on an idling engine, you will get the feel for it and the rest will be a lot easier.
