Hey guys and girls, looking for an auto eleccy to rewire the oval, when I got it, a few lights worked, recently the lights were made to work, but very dim and not all worked properly, now, last night they all went out, except the brake lights.

I know nothing about wiring, so want a electrician who does VWs, keep it 6volt, rewire the whole lighting loom and chuck in some new 6v bulbs if need be.

If no one can recommend anyone close, there is one just near my house that advertises he does full rewires, I guess he would be worth a go, or would you get someone who knows VWs, or are wires, wires??

Thanks
Michael

The best auto elec I've ever known is Glen at A.C.E.S. at Sunnybank. I've seen plenty of dubs there over the 11 years I've been using him, and he is VERY good at troubleshooting and diagnosis.

He's usually very busy, but call and ask him about complete rewiring.

Oh, he's also quite ...abrupt, and can seem somewhat grumpy. Don't let that get to you, it's just how he is, and he is an EXCELLENT tradesman.

Cheers,

Mick.

check your earth connections for headlights where the headlight wire tube bolts up to inner gaurd, scrap some paint away for good earth return.
