...and how many Vee Dubbs and Ghias did you count?

Two of the couple murdered in the film were driving Ghias and the guy who was prime suspect also drove on at one stage of the film

One creepy scene at a spooky house at night in a storm even had a rat looking kombi...but there were some nice rides parked in streets or on the road during the film....someone must have been a VW nut

By the way it's an excellent film, worth going to see

A Ghia is actually a main point in the Zodiac killings. The serial killer used a black marker on the door of Bryan Hartnell's Ghia to inscribe the details of some of his work. Haven't seen the movie yet so not sure if they showed this. Read up on the case and I'm sure you'll find the Ghia mentioned :o

Yep they showed that on the couples car who were stabbed at the lake...but they also had the first couple in the movie in a T34 Karman Ghia

I went online last night and from what I read on the wbsite dedicated to the Zodiac murders the film was fairly accurate in it's detail

..the directors angle

it seems they looked at pics of SanFransisco in the era of the murders and say the'bugs' and thought they would bring them in to build the streetscape of that time

Actually that was a corvair, not a T34. I saw the movie yesterday and I also couldn't believe how many VWs there were. But then again, California in those times was full of VWs.

VW no more... sigh.... well, at least it's a cousin
