My grandfather gave me his old grease gun so i can do all the greasing on my old girl, it is a decent looking unit, big cast squirt handle at the main end, but my problem is that the T handle at the other end of the gun is somehow attached to the 20 year old tube of grease in the gun and i want to remove the old tube so i can put some new stuff in. how do i do this?

arhhh ok.. sounds like the old grease cartridge has maybe ceased the end of the plunger type thing on the end of the t handle..
hmmm maybe try n unscrew the whole cartridge from the cast head and get hacking away at the old cartridge..
other than that get a new one as they arnt much these days..
a good mcnaught will set you back about $60 or so..
a good investment and the old one would look cool in ya next display at a show.. 😉

I agree!! Also when you buy a new one make sure it will take Australian size cartridges not American. (Like some of the cheaper brands on the market)
