I wouldn't use that oil its too thin for australian conditions.

Castrol GTX2 is recommended and used by many people on here...
Shell Super is another one

so long as they 20w/50 or 25w/50 oil

cheers

Lee

PS.. Castrol GTX 2 New has for MODERN engines printed on the pack.... just ignore that... Lee

For Aussie conditions you should use a brand name multigrade oil.

In my 1916 hillclimber i use Shell Helix 15w-50w no probs

Cheers Col

just remember that vw uses 30 grade and there is a reason for that most cars use oil as a lubrecent where an air cooled vw uses oil as cooler as well as a lube so the oil is a little thinner so the it can move through the engine better a leavy grade will slow down and cause early failur clever buggers those germans

on an older higher milage engine its a good idea to run 15/40 or 20/50 but newer or rebuilt engines are alot happier on thinner oils
ive been running my new 1776 on 10/30 pennzoil cruise on the motorway up to brissy at 115 on a 30 degree day and the oil temp doesnt get over 90 and the pressures sits steady at 40psi
