the type 3 runners are different.

might be best to get them re-trimmed, or you can adapt honda prelude seats by welding them to the bases, as long as the welder knows what they are doing. Using these seats will usually make the base of the seat a little higher which may be a problem if you are 6ft tall...
You can get new seat covers in kits from companies like TMI or Sewfine too.

it wasnt just the seat trims that were the problem (although they are a bit ripped and torn), the latches than stop it being pulled forward were a bit dodgy. and i didnt want to put different seats in as i want to keep the car original.

thanks anyway i guess now i know to keep an eye out for just type 3 seats

You can remove the latches that stop the seat back moving forward

I did this and never had them move forward under braking at all

Also I re trimmed mine using the TMI re cevers with origional type material they looked very smart and stood up to 2 young boys jumping on them forabout 15 years I believe there going through a similar treatment nowdays as i sold the car to someone with similar aged your kids
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true
