help please, at the moment the beetle is 12mm higher on the passenger side front than the drivers side, I would have thought that with torsion bars this would be unlikely to happen, I am still trying to measure everything at moment, is there a fix? 12mm does not seem like much but I am sick of staring at it
Please, I need drivers side window regulator (winder mechanism) for my '54
um, OK to answer all your questions, measured from various outer points of the beam & suspension
also measured at the pan from side, the (undamaged) flange that runs along each side just inboard of the running boards, height there was 15cm at each corner except front left which was 14cm
tyre pressures identical tyres identical, did nother bother trying to measure guards, that is not easy to get accurate, Shocks excellent plenty grease
rear height is only a few mm out, gonna measure on very flat shiney concrete at work tomorow too

yeah as per Matt it could be in the rear
the torsion bar rubbers may need replacing especially if there the origionals they tend to deteriorate after a few year and awhile your in there you can reset the rear suspension
10mm? Why worry?! The minimum available change in height at the rear is 8mm by fiddling with the torsion bars so your car really only a couple of mm from spec
Are there one or two people in the car all the time, the reason for this is if there is one person over time the suspension will sag to the drivers side, drop the left rear down one spline (8mm) and it should level out the car in the front. Factory specs is to have the hole right side 8mm higher than left to accomodate for the driver.
