A while back I bought a pair of nice Alloy ribbed tappet covers on ebay..

I went to fit them tonight after doing the tappets...

and the original VW spring clip [bail] won't go over them..

I don't suppose anyone has these clips or know where to get them from..

theyre not the bolt on kind are they?

they use the rocker shaft bolts to hold them on instead of the bailey clips

No
these use a spring like on the original VW covres..''

maybe they were made for larger rockers??

These are the only alloy tappet covers that are held on with a bail spring.. that I have ever seen...
