a bit similar to this:

ENGINE NOISE

So....how easy to fix? DIY job or garage job?

Im guessing its the crankshaft pulleys? Easy to replace on a beetle?

Cheers

Does it sound the same with the belt off? I have to ask because if you're like me you'll assume the worst when something goes wrong.
Could be the fan or alternator bearings, or maybe even the rear tin touching the bottom pulley.

I will grab a video clip of it later to explain it better than that.

Certainly sounds bad 🥲
