Try oztrikes, their in Gosford in NSW, don't know if they sell kits but they do a mean trike, they are on the net.

there is an old guy in cabramatta who makes a few a year using all bug bits erxcept the front end uses the rear seat from the bug and the backbone i was buying a set of mags and he wandered over and offered to show me his work he is retired and only makes them to keep him self happy and only makes them on order
i dont know where or why maybe a search would help
