I am guessing you are after a 6V swing axle nose cone, yeah ?

If so $100 delivered to your door.

Thanks Pod,

I will also give them a call. I received a PM that someone has one but haven't been able to reply until now getting my 5th post up (thanks).

Also, is that a Turquoise Beetle you have there. I'm doing up a 61 Turquoise beetle.

Cheers, Kevin

Sounds like a lot of money untill you know what can go wrong with these things.

First, being an early one it has no seal on the forward end,
so if the bushes are worn it will leak oil.
Second, if the mount ever came loose(most likely) it will have flogged out mount holes.
And other than corrosion, it may not be flat where it bolts down against the tranny(if the mainshaft has been moving forward).

Once all these things are inspected, you might find that most nose cones need work.
If you find a good one you probably spent 100 dollars shopping around.
That new one sounds like a good deal, but you should not have to go to the US to get a new one.

Another tip,
is to make sure that you dont block off the breather hole, or the drain hole in the intermediate housing, with sealant on assembly

Thanks Dangerous. From what you have just said, I may be better just getting mine welded across the crack where it bolts to the mounting bracket.

I haven't even got a price for this part here in Oz, was just making a point and was not meaning to offend anyone.
