I have a bit of problem solving to do this weekend. last time i worked on the beetle, I put some new pads in and took it for a test drive.

During the test drive, the alt warning light came on. I shut down and checked the fan belt, all ok. But the folloiwng has occured
-Alt light on
-No indicators at all

Any ideas before i start at teh battery and alt and work my way through?

Cheers

Drew

Could be a bad connection just about anywhere, but start ign on circuit at fuse box, ind relay, back of speedo, fuses. Did you have stuff rolling around under bonnet or back seat maybe while the big brake test?
