The engine in my beach buggy hasn't got a lot of life left in it.
I'm deciding what to replace it with- subaru is out of the question.
I have a pair of bare twin port heads and can get a 1835 long block at a very right price.

Car only weighs 600kg and isn't a dailly driver.

Plan so far is 1835, small turbo( t28?), 2 x ca18 (exa) throttle bodies, turbo cam ??? 165 lb injectors, twin port heads with heavy, or double springs and stinger computer.

Is this going to get me 110 hp, or a pile of expensive metal fillings?

Plan B is the same but with a 350 holley/ SU instead of injection (simpler, cheaper but less elegant, prob more tempremental)

Any one gone down this path without spending mega dollars?
I've checked out the lowbugget kits, but the quality looks pretty nasty- especially the chinese turbos.

Put a set of Kadrons on the 1835 long block.
Fast.
Fun.
Easy.
Cheap.

cost of nice carbs is not too far behind what the turbo setup is going to cost (picked up a t28 for $200 last night)
For a lot less performance.

CB performance has inlet manifolds set up for injectors with fuel rails for under $300.
I'll use the headers from lowbugget (about 300)

All up it's looking like being about 4k. I dont think 4k will get a whole lot of naturally aspirated motor. Or am I missing something huge?
