Hi folks,
I have quite a list of items that I have decided can go to further fund my 56 beetle.
I live in Canberra - suburb of Macgregor, postcode 2615.
Here is what I have to sell:
• Flat-4 17”x7” BRM’s. Offset 45 5x100 PCD (fitment for new beetle). This is the first set that was brought into the country by Harding European. Used for a brief period by Guy before selling them to me (and since remaining unused in my spare room waiting to be fitted to my 56). Condition is almost new with NO curbing or damage. $1,400
• Custom billet steel ball-joint beetle front hubs. Includes DBA vented discs (for WRX – 288 x26mm) and Porsche wheel studs. Hub PCD is 5x100 (for the BRM’s above) and have been machined to use standard ball-joint beetle bearings and dust seals. Dimensions of hub allow fitment of BRM’s to standard front suspension to clear guards and not require narrowed beam. Discs are correct size to use Porsche Boxster callipers but adapter bracket would need to be machined. $300
• TAR-OX 6 piston callipers (new and unused). Anodized grey. As available from SSP in the UK –so bolt straight on to ball-joint beetle disc brake front stub axles. Includes pads. Designed to use 24mm thick vented rotor (available from SSP), but can easily be modified to fit hubs and discs above. $700
• Brand new 240mm diameter Porsche fan bracket (holds alternator and fan centre) and new CSP type 4 fibreglass fan shroud. $500
• Porsche Design 90 (964/944 design) 16”x9” wheels. Offset 53. $300
• BBS RS 3 piece wheels. 15”x7” offset 43. PCD is 5x114.3 but rear/mounting face of centres is flat (rather than cast with relief indents) so will allow machining of alternative PCD in between. These look amazing when refurbed. $400
• Genuine early to mid 50’s Coca-Cola drink cooler with bottle opener attachment. Original paint (have not reconditioned yet as wanted to make sure I had the paint code and some replacement Coca-Cola decals). Finish is scratched and light surface rust, but would be a perfect match for a rat-looker with roof rack. $250 ono
• Porsche 996 GT3 reclining Recaro seats. Black leather in near new condition (driver seat was used for 100 klm’s before the car was stripped for racing). Electronic adjustment. $4,000
• Poly fixed back racing seat (injection moulded type) for off-road and buggy use. Designed to take removable cover for ease of cleaning. Large design so no troubles fitting larger bodies. $50
• MOMO V6 design steering wheel. Nice design for retro-modern feel (design in a fashion of the limited edition MOMO Porsche design steering wheel that had 3 tubular spokes). Brand new never used. $150
• Reclining front seat from something Japanese. Quite sporty with good side support. Black velour and grey patterned inserts. Get it the hell out of my Garage – 1 only as the other was installed into a mates hilux, but the hilux died before we could fit this one (could be left hand side only in that case). $30 ono
• Blaupunkt stereo CD player near top of the line (back in 99 or so) flip down face (non-removable) but has removable anti theft key card (credit card sized) which can be slipped into wallet. Unit will not work without the key card. Brand new still in box. Steering wheel remote control included. Also has microphone that can be suspended in car to run self diagnostic tests and set itself up for optimum performance in the vehicle. Cost $1200 new. $300 ono
• New Beetle rear tail lights brand new in box. $100 for the pair.
• 1956 Beetle Speedometer in good condition considering age. $100 ono.
• 1966/67 Porsche 912 Tachometer in good condition. $100
• Early "Broad" Running board trim N.O.S. - Still in original VW wrapping paper. $250 ono
• Karmann Ghia fuel gauge - date stamped 2.61. $100 ono
• Oval window dash radio trims 1 orig and 1 new/repro. $100 for the pair.
• Oval Window dash ash tray. $40 ono
