Yesterday was the Nostalgia Drags at WSID. It was a really good day (until it sprinkled later on in the arvo). A few bugs even snuck into the show and shine in the pits. Mike Kristen from CBB was the only VW competing, no idea how he went.

Here's some of my pics from the day.First up. some pics from the pits

The guy who owns this is period custom FC is on the hot rod forum I'm on. Its daily driven too! The blue and white FC seen in the reflection from the dummy spot was built by him and a mate as a budget nostalgia racer, complete with worked 6.

440 cube Mopars - tough and oh so sexy

Low '57 Chev

My bug in amongst the mix. The roofrack made it easy to find amongst the other cars!

I LOVE this '34 coupe, gorgeous, just gorgeous

Neat bike.

This was pretty cool. I was just taking some pics of this 'vette, one of the crew opens the door and tells me to jump in! Cool! Sweet looking car!

A '32 coupe making an exit before the rain hits

Couple years back, I was giving a female mate a lift and we saw this. She asked if it was one of the PT cruiser things! 😂

herbie! Very nice and tidy, and the whitewalls look great.

These Buicks were a dime a dozen!

oh yeh, there was some racing too!

Announcer didn't get much right about anything throughout the day...

Mike Kristen wasn't competing. Mike Wladron, however, was driving the LMS Engineering bug.

The nostalgia drags is probably my favourite event. The show and shine is an great show by itself, but then throw in the drags and its just awesome. It costs nothing more to show your car than walk in entry, which is just a great idea.
