G'day.

In spite of my 1800 vans more major problems I am still working on the minor ones. One of which happens to be oil leaks.

The little rubber thing near the base of the dipstick tube met its maker years ago and is a vague mishmash of rubber, glue and silicon.

Given its position above the oil filler and above the engine cradle, how on earth can I get to it without pulling everything to bits, or hiring a team of trained spiders to crawl in there and change it?

Thanks.

Hi

Its been a long time since I did one, but from memory give the area good clean, then you slide it all the way up on one end and concertina it and then slide it down into place.

Sounds pretty straightforward. I'm guessing it's a one or two finger job though? Last time I had access to it the motor was in pieces.
