What are they??

There is a discussion on SBO that you need them on drum/rotor otherwise your wheel wont seat properly.

You cant have them on a Porsche wheel hub/rotor or the wheel wont fit.
When you buy a dedicated Porsche pattern rotor they are not there.

The reason i am asking is my mate has a T5 and wants some mags.
T5s are 120 PCD - same as dunny doors and BMtroubleU's but have been told i need Hub-centric rings to fit?

Does it have something to do with bore size??
Anyone know what bore T5 / dunny doors and BMtroubleU's are??

They are for centering the wheel on the hub to reduce the vibration caused by being minutely off centre, most good wheel shops will either have them in stock or be able to get them in for you.

good luck !

When I had my '76 the discs had a small flange in the centre around the wheel bearing cap. This was to centre the rim as previously mentioned, The bolts simply keep the wheel on. When I converted to Porsche PCD 5 X 130 (drilled and studded the original discs and drums) the flange had to be machined off as it had too big outside diameter to fit in the centre of the Porsche wheel.
