Due to the fact the telco's in our area are so f#cked even though I can see the lights of Ipswich and Brisbane from my house, I have been deemed eligible for the Australian Broadband Guarantee.
Basically K-rudd will subsidise my broadband to the tune of $2k for the next 3 years or until we can join the 21st century.
As a result I now have cheap access to satellite broadband via Skymesh. Wireless also doesn't work. Has any anybody had any dealings with sat broadband and/or Skymesh? All I have heard is the signal can get a bit messed up with the rain.
