I've been having fun with my recent venture into the wonderful world of Weber.
I've got a weber progressive on my 1800 motor now. Couldn't fault it, except the exhaust is popping a bit at idle.
What does this mean? Running too rich? Timing not adjusted right?
Incidentally what would the correct advance be for running PULP?
Just before my recent topend work I realised I was running it too far advanced for ULP (which is what I had in the tank at the time) and knocked it back to 2 or 3deg btdc. Just did it statcially because the engine was running so crap.
Since then it now has PULP in it and I feel that setting may be a little to far retarded?
Not sure if that would have anything to do with the idle issue though. Besides that seems to run great. There is popping on deceleration too but my guss on that was there is probably a small hole in the exhaust I have overlooked.
