Hi Guys

Does any one know where i can get tail light lenses that actually fit. Its a 73 beetle 1300 with the tail light that sits onto a frame that bolts too the guard. Its the brake, indicator and reverse lense thats all together.

Anyway, got two ne ones and do you think they will fit into the new chrome seal. no way , you can get the top in easily then try pushing the sides and the bottom in and you dont have a hope in hell. All you are left with is a gap at the bottom half for water too get in.

On another point, some off these aftermarket parts are real rubbish, poorly made, dont fit correctly etc etc.

I had similar trouble with the earlier 68 model tail lights. The repro ones are crap so eventually tracked down some NOS ones which are great. They are a very tight to fit though and it does take a lot of effort but eventually they will go in.
