I guess before I ask - the kitcar that I am fixing up has the collapsing type steering column and am wanting to know if the early spline that the steering wheel nut bolts to is the same as the late as I have a sports wheel that I thought was off an early beetle but it is too small to fit on the spline - and the clubcar is too far away to test my theory.

If the splines are different, does anyone have a steering column and outer tube for an early beetle - and if not too mush to ask the little bracket that holds in place under the dash.

are you after a 50's (long/flat wheel) or 60's (shorter/dished wheel) column?
