i have recently puchased a set of early '80s alloy wheels & am now looking for some centre caps for them.

I have one that is branded CSA, would be interested if anyone has any matching ones laying around OR a set of 4 of another brand that will fit. The cap that I have is approximately 78mm in diameter where it fits into the rim.

Photo of wheels & caps is below for reference. Can anyone tell me what brand & style of rim they are? I was told they where Cheviots, but there is no branding on the wheels themselves. Have also been told that the style is "Quattro".

Any help would be appreciated.

Send me a PM

Thanks
Brendan

Brendan.
I have walked this lonely road recently.
Pit Crew or what ever they are called now at Wickham have some 'Speedy' caps that press in and may get you out of trouble.
My caps are about the same dimensions but the screw type and I have found nothing and have been to nearly every tyre shop in Newcastle and elsewhere abouts with NO luck.

Donn did offer to meake me some outta timber on his lathe and i may take him up the weay things are going.

Good luck

Rob,

There are a few new & used screw type caps on ebay ATM. Have you any idea how much the Speedy caps were?

Thanks

Brendon,

I have similar wheel caps on my 'Performance' mag wheels. I have attached photos of a spare one. If you think it looks OK, you should be able to buy them from your local tyre place. I have bought a number of sets over the years (as I damage or loose them).

If you think they may be suitable, let me know today because Tricia & David are going to Maitland to pick up Davids' daughter tomorrow, and you could arrange to meet them on the highway and try one if you like.

Just thinking, if they are OK and you can't buy them from your local tyre place, let me know, as I wan't to get a new set for my wheels, and I could get you a set as well.

Jeff they look the goods, I'll ask at the wheel & tyre joint when I get some tyres removed later this week. I didnt think they would be available new anywhere.

Cheers
