amazeer wrote:trouble with kangaroos is that most of the ones you see end up in your front bumper. Bloody emus too. And wombats. Snakes. fer christs sake, why dont someone educate our wildlife. When I was a kid visting Stawell VIC there used to be heaps of koalas. Every second tree you looked in. Last time I was there I didnt see 1. Dirty buggers all got clamidia I guess.
lol the wombats end up on your front bumper, go through it and the radiator, bend you crossmember and exhaust then come out the back, shake off and waddle on down the road... 🤪

Don't forget that Volkswagens were fully manufactured in Australia from 1959 to 1967, so there are lots of Aussie-only VW parts and accessories that you won't see in the USA.

These flashes were a VW dealer-fitted accessory, available from the late '50s to the early '60s. This is a Lanock Motors accessory brochure from about 1960, and as you can see you had a choice of designs, under part norder numbers VL328, VL330 or VL 330A.

The VW dealer would mask the car according to the pattern, paint the flash, drill the holes and fit the mouldings.
