they are stainless steel not chromed...

Very good price.... Mine cost over $100 years ago..

if yours is stainless thats why you paid more
they're certainly not made of that anymore

mines about 10 years old and is just chrome metal, i trimmed it with tinsnips, staino wouldnt cut that easy
