I have been offered a Scat engine, its made with a brazilian case that to be honest looks below par and has only donw 5000 k's. oil seems to be leaking from the case its self as it is from rocker cover and pushrod tubes. now i am more than happy to pull it apart but i am sure i have heard bad things about the scat engines and that they are not of a good standard anymore. Anyone had any dealings or can shed some light as i dont what to be pulling it apart every 5 minutes to sort oil leaks etc.
Now i know everyone has there idea of whos the better engine builder but my other option is to get a engine built. I'm not after huge power just some. The scat i have been offered is a 1916 so a mild enigne around that size would be what i looking at. Who would be the best to goto and what sort of price would i be looking at?
Please dont turn this into a he's better/ there shit thread i am just after an idea before i embark on a new project...
