Ok, so this is a two sided post -

If you have type 4 cvs at a good price please contact me

- Otherwise for anybody who has ever wanted a set, I have found a supplier who i can get them from. For a larger order i can get them for around the $150 ea. mark (kombi joints are usually between 120-150)these are german lobro joints not chinese

What are type 4 cvs? Well basically the same size as type 2 kombi cvs, a little wider, with slighty smaller balls. The result? the ability to function at up to 22 degrees instead of the 17 offered by type 2 joints

These are a must for baja kombis and baja bugs that have been converted to the larger cv.

So anyone interested? plan on placing an order mid september (unless someone on here can beat that price that is)

are they stronger or weaker than type 2 ie: cage width and smaller balls?

Type 4 as in 411 or 412 VW? I thought they were the same as a beetle/type 3?
Were there not uprated CV's Porsche used that used the same mounting pattern?

no idea on the 411 affraid Andy, But i know they are 100mm round same as the T2. They are 34mm wide. and use 18mm balls which is 2mm smaller than t2 and 3mm larger than beetle.

So nick By the numbers alone i would think they are indeed a tad weaker than a T2

If out and out strength is what you want i would stick to the T2's what i am chasing is travel, and i know surely am not the only one and this is where these things come in (without going to 930 stuff anyways)
