the kombi box in my buggy is jumping out of gear (1st and reverse). the box is out at the moment, so I thought I might have a look at it, see if I can see what is wrong with it... does anyone have any basic instructions for dismantling th gearbox? any clues what to look for?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated 🙂
Cheers,
Chris
The bellhousing and input shaft, then differential will have to come out first.
Once the big pinion bearing-nut is removed,
just the 13mm spanner nuts or bolts to remove that hold the assembly in the case.
Most likely the reverse cog is shagged,
first gear problem may be somethig worse, but wait and see.
When you remove the nose cone, make sure the circips are on,
and the mainshaft bearing has not pounded into the nose cone.
