fitting 205/60/16 onto 74 super with 2 bolt struts.have civic springs to fit and have made adaptors for upper and lower spring mounts and a split collar which bolts together onto strut allowing adjustment to determine ride height.
want to drop ride height by 2" but maintain suspension travel so I have considered shortening shock absorber shaft by 2 " and using civic bump stops but have reservations in regards to the tyres interfering with gaurd and suspension etc?

any coments

Thanks

What wheels are you going to run - what offset??

I run 205x16 55 series on 16" x 6" 50ET and they fit fine under stock guards
I run V Force struts as well

personally i think the 60 series will make the tyre a bit big

I would have thought picking up a set of V Force struts would be a lot easier than reinventing the wheel
How do you plan on "shortening shock absorber shaft by 2 " "
Why not put a new insert in the right length??

you need to run shorter strut inserts

thats the only way to stop them bottoming out

mk1 golf are 4" shorter thank stock superbug but the same in every other respect
